Life can sometimes be a roller coaster of emotions and we might feel like we have no one beside us. When we mostly need a friend, they seem to disappear. Sometimes we feel like no one understands what we feel and why we feel that way. It's hard facing day to day problems alone, or at least thinking we are alone. Let me tell you that we aren't really alone, sometimes the problem is we don't have  good communication with the people close to us. Keeping a good communication with friends and family is key to surviving what we call "life", specially in the teenage years.

Of course we can't forget that some things are a little weird to talk about with certain people. Then again we also have to keep in mind that certain things need  delicate advice and you just can't go to anyone to ask about what you should do or how you handle it.

For example, let's say you get invited to a party and you are thinking what you should wear. That's a perfect moment to ask a friend. In that situation parents don't always have the best answer unless they have an updated great sense of style. But let's say on the other hand you are worried because someone that  is not "so friendly" to you is also attending that party. It could be a bully or any other person that might hurt you. That's when you go to a parent or any adult. Even if you do want to go to the party knowing that person will be there you should always tell a parent just in case something happens. Also, you mom or dad can help you by giving you tips on how to handle any situation that might occur.

It's not that you are alone or that no one understands, it's just choosing the right person to talk to depending on the situation. But remember, even if you feel weird or embarrassed to talk to your mom or dad, they are the best friends you can have and the ones who will give you the best advice.
